SHV Malaga Red from the successful Schwengers breeding farm is former Nr. 1 and currently ranked No. 4 (with same RZG as #2) among the rbt sires in the German top list with 161 RZG. With 155 RZM and 208 kg fat/protein, Malaga Red is the outstanding Nr. 1 production sire in international Red Holstein breeding. Malaga traces his lineage back to his great-granddam Mission Missy VG-89 through three generations of VG-rated dams, who produced over 1,200 kg fat and protein in her third lactation. His dam, SHV MissGrando VG-86, will also achieve high production and has a milking speed of 3.2-3.7 kg/min.
In addition to his outstanding production traits, Malaga impresses with good health and an excellent, functional conformation with wider rumps and very good feet & legs and udder traits. Malaga also transmits excellent maternal calving traits; he carries the top combination of beta-casein A2A2 and kappa-casein BB and is ideal for use on heifers.
