The second breeding value assessment of 2025 went very smoothly, as expected, with no major shifts – neither in the breeding values nor in the rankings. ++ In the Red Holstein breeding sector, our bulls are back in the running, led by our SHV MALAGA RED, whose first calves are now causing a stir. MALAGA ranks 7th with 159 RZG (6th with 2,966 RZEuro) and, with an RZM of 155, 2,522 kg milk, and 208 kg fat/protein, remains the first choice when it comes to taking your Red Holsteins to the next level in milk production and health. MALAGA RED is unique, especially when it comes to hoof health and Mortellaro resistance. ++ With RIOMAX P RED, REDWOOD RED, MUSICAL PP RED (one of the highest PP bulls), RYAN RED and RICARDO RED, five more Göpel bulls are in the top 100 according to RZG. ++ In the top list according to RZEuro, three more bulls are added: the long-standing favorite GLAMOUR RED (whose first milking daughters are performing excellently), ANTON PP RED and SHELDON RED, so that our Red Holstein `Armada´ represents almost 10 percent of the RZEuro top list. ++ In the `Black and White´ category, the polled sire DAGOBERT P represents our top performer and, with 154 RZG, 2,560 kg milk and 129 RZE, is an excellent all-rounder. > CORD remains the highest udder sire (137 udder ZW) and 134 RZE for lovers of attractive and functional cows. > PARADOX P, with a 148 RZG combined with very high milking speed, offers a valuable alternative for breeders seeking to add more width and strength to their herds. PARADOX P also offers a sought-after alternative in terms of teat position and udder balance.
